In Japan in the 1700s, woodblock prints were commonly commissioned as gifts or to celebrate special occasions.
These were called Surimono, or "printed thoughts".
This series of limited edition jewellery is inspired by the people, the art and the poetry of the ancient Orient.
The collection is composed of reproductions of Japanese prints from the Edo period (1700-1800) and from the beginning of the 1900s, transposed onto thin aluminum plates: wearable miniatures that hark back to distant worlds, because imagination never tires of inventing new stories and new possibilities.
