Janas is a collection of jewellery art dedicated to the culture of Sardinian weaving.
The fabrics used were collected in different workshops on the island between January 2013 and October 2014, and each piece is connected to a meeting and to a specific life story. Once collected together, the fragments were reworked into small sculptural elements, geometric irregularities inspired by the stone, in which fabric, silver and yarn come together in storytelling and substance. A common thread runs through the fabric, tying together all of the journeys made on the island during the research.

Janas is an inter disciplinary project with many strands: it is a map of Sardinian weaving, a documentary film (Janas: Stories of Women, Looms and Treasure, CARTA|BIANCA, 2014), a collection of jewellery and an active online community dedicated to the issue.
